U.S. Manufacturers See No Quick Economic Rebound

Reuters has an article today about the economic downturn and its impact on the manufacturing sector in the US. While some economic indicators have recently been offering a glimmer of hope for recovery, manufacturers are still feeling the pain.

Another article, from AP, touches on American Electric Power's drop in first quarter earnings, based largely on industrial consumers' decline in electricity consumption. Interesting from a number of perspectives.

And lastly, some slightly better economic news.
